No pressure…. It is only the first entry!
A few years back is when I had my inspiration to write,
actually write a novel. It was Labor Day weekend and I was house / dog sitting
for close family friends. That meant I had the whole house to myself to do whatever
I wanted, and what I wanted was to watch my season 3 Sons of Anarchy DVD in its
entirety that weekend. A few episodes in with the boys wearing their Reaper
vests I thought “wow the stories that guy could tell” and the idea came for my
first novel. The Reaper’s Report in
which he does just that, the Reaper talks about his day at work. It is not
scary, nor particularly gory. He, The Reaper is surprisingly human and the
whole novel has a dark humor tone to it. It got an Editor’s Choice designation,
but not many people have read it. This is fine since even I have a hard time
describing what it is about to people who ask. So at some point I will just
post it here (once I have some readers) and it will be yours to enjoy or trash
as you see fit.
But enough about the past… this really is about the future.
My aspirations of becoming a writer. Today it is me writing a blog, this week
it will be about creating an actual webpage. Maybe… if it makes sense. In any
case here is where I am at:
Ideas. Currently I have ideas about novels, children’s
books, children’s series, and screen plays. I don’t have time to write them
working a 40 hour week and having a two year old. Who incidentally was the
reason I started my first blog MBA Mom offering a viewpoint on becoming a
mommy, chronicling my adventures and struggles. And a special shout out to any
of the 106 viewers on that blog. I thank you for looking at it.
Motivation: since I was a wee little lass I have told
stories and put on plays. I wanted to be an actress but thanks to an up and
coming agent dashing all my hopes and dreams by telling me I was not good I never
really explored it. Instead I shall write, and create and if all goes well one
day cast. Ok that may seem a bit ambitious but I have the faith of a mustard
seed!
